Welcome to Vorkies ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Vorkies platform, including our website at vorkies.co.uk and our mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Vorkies is a marketplace that connects customers seeking home and trade services with independent service providers ("Vorkiers"). We facilitate the connection but do not directly provide the trade services.
To use the Platform, you must: be at least 18 years of age; be a resident of the United Kingdom; have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts; and not have been previously suspended or removed from the Platform.
To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
Customers may browse service providers, request quotes, and book services through the Platform. All bookings are subject to availability and acceptance by the service provider. Service providers must complete our verification process before being listed on the Platform.
All payments are processed securely through our Platform. Customers are charged upon confirmation of job completion. Service providers receive payment within 2 working days of job completion, minus our platform commission. All prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
Customers may cancel a booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the agreed price.
Vorkies acts as a marketplace and is not party to any agreement between customers and service providers. While we verify our service providers, we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided.
All content on the Platform, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Vorkies Ltd and protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.
In the event of a dispute, we encourage users to contact our support team first. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
